GPA Selected as a 2026 Featured Grantee by Together Women Rise

Global Pediatric Alliance (GPA) is thrilled and deeply honored to be selected as a Together Women Rise 2026 Featured Grantee. Together Women Rise is a powerful community of women and allies dedicated to global gender equality. It has hundreds of local chapters across the U.S. where members come together to learn about and advocate for gender equality issues, give grants to organizations that empower women and girls in low-income communities in the Global South, and build community to forge meaningful connections with each other and with women around the world.

This two-year grant will allow GPA to improve the access Indigenous women have to quality, culturally-safe and respectful maternal health services in the southern Mexican states of Chiapas, Yucatan and Quintana Roo, states with large Mayan populations and critical maternal healthcare inequities. Through this grant, GPA will enrich the skills of Indigenous midwives, foster Indigenous community networks of care for women’s health and promote the integration of Respectful Maternal Care principles in hospitals, clinics and universities.

This grant highlights the tireless efforts of the communities we collaborate with who every day work towards a world where all women and girls, regardless of their ethnicity, education level or economic situation, have equal access to essential and quality healthcare services.
