Brenda Elodia Ochoa Ortiz

Brenda joined GPA in 2025 and brings a wealth of experience. Previously, she was the director of the HIAS México project in 2024, and before that the Executive Director of the Fray Mathias de Cordova Human Rights Center in Tapachula, Mexico for six years. She also worked for Medicins du Munde, working with sexual and reproductive health for women in Tapachula. Brenda holds a Bachelor of Medicine, a Master of Pedagogy, with a specialization in Evaluation of Health Programs and Policies; and diplomas in Systemic Healing processes. She has experience in the management of human rights and migration projects, access to comprehensive health specializing in Sexual and Reproductive Health and psycho-social support. She also has worked with facilitation of learning processes, planning and development of analyses and strategies, using a holistic, intersectionality and psycho-social approach.
